Miss Iceland Photoshoot | Behind the Scenes

Share

In this video, Sal is on-location in Iceland with Miss Iceland. In this scene, he was looking for one thing: a gorgeous headshot with a custom made wreath. For gear, he used a Profoto B1 and OCF Portable Beauty Dish. A super simple set up with stunning results.

Lighting Challenges

Sal chose to shoot this portrait outdoors, which posed some challenges. The sun went in and out and started to cause some split lighting on Arna’s face. To fix this, he simply turned her away from the sun, turning the sunlight into an edge light. He also had to adjust his exposure, with the final image being shot at f9.0 to match the sunlight hitting her from behind.

Post-Production

In post-production, any gaps in the flowers were filled in to get a solid background.
